Casual Garden Assistants – seasonal
£7.45 per hour
The Hidden Gardens, Glasgow’s award winning landmark greenspace and peace garden is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Garden Assistants.
The main role of the Garden Assistant is to provide a visual staff presence to ensure that all visitors have a safe and pleasant experience whilst preserving the property, plant collection and art installations of the Hidden Gardens.
Hours are variable, and a flexible approach to working is essential. Hours will be concentrated around weekends and evenings.

£13,866 – £ 15,414 (pro rata)
Hours: 23hours per week
Salary Grade placing is dependent on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, flexible, self motivated individual to join the busy Hidden Gardens team, a registered Scottish charity located in South Glasgow. The successful candidate will, under the direction of their line manager, liaise closely with the staff team to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient administration service that meets their needs.
Duties will include word processing, diary management, first point of contact with the general public, design and distribution of marketing and information materials, managing databases, spreadsheets and other information systems and telephone/reception duties.
Essential requirements for this post include effective communication with colleagues in the team, organisational and interpersonal skills, relevant experience in delivering high quality administration support within a busy environment and the ability to work to timescales and on your own initiative.
It is desirable that you have experience of recruiting, training and supervising junior staff and knowledge of software packages to design marketing materials.
You should be a keen team player with an interest in the work of the Hidden Gardens and a desire to work within the set of values adopted by the organisation.
